By Hailey Kinsey

This is a mixed media piece, painted in watercolor and acrylic. The leaves in this painting represent the growth and knowledge we gain as we search the scriptures. In President Nelson's closing remarks from last October conference, he asked us to ponder the question, How would my life be different if my knowledge that came from the Book of Mormon was suddenly taken away? I have thought about this question often and for me, I feel like I would lack the comfort and guidance that the Book of Mormon provides. When I read it I am able to feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior and find direction as I read the stories and testimonies of those who followed Christ. The Book of Mormon was written specifically for us in our day and we can find answers to our prayers as we search them.
