Come Unto Me

By Brittany Dangerfield

This painting is a reminder of Christ's promises to us as we choose to take His hand. Gold, hand-lettered scripturial references in the background unite His unwavering and powerful words from both the Bible and Book of Mormon. This original piece is painted on 18x24, cold-press, 140 lb, acid-free watercolor paper. It was created in watercolors, watercolor pencils, acrylic, and ink.

During General Conference October 2016, I was shaken by the beautiful knowledge that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the Word of God, and how grateful I was for that knowledge that had been restored alongside the priesthood, spiritual gifts, ordinances, living prophets, and revelation of the true Church. I finally listened to what the Spirit had been telling me and opened my paints, uttering a prayer to Heavenly Father that if I was meant to create it now, He would help guide my efforts. I have never felt more spiritually guided in any piece. I am grateful for the Restoration and for the knowledge I possess of His love, allowing beautiful circumstances such as these to come into creation.
